BILLY MCDANIEL OF THE SUPERSTITION FOOTHILLS
IS THE WINNER OF THE EDWARD BOHLIN STERLING SILVER CENTENNIAL BUCKLE
J. Draper presents to Billy McDaniel, the winner.
AJMR R. Umlah sold the winning ticket!
Ranger John Draper helped his stepson David Marold, President of Bohlin, design the buckle with the Arizona state flag in front of the Superstition Mountains complete with a saguaro cactus in a desert scene. The buckle is sterling silver and comes with a certificate stating it is the first of these buckles and has a value of $2,000. Edward Bohlin, the company's founder, was known as the saddle maker/silversmith to the stars of the silver screen. Bohlin saddles and gear are in the Gene Autry Museum in Los Angeles and many saddles seen in the Rose Parade are Bohlin saddles.
